I just want to comment about what I saw, that I hope and I do believe Washingtonians and Americans understand, and that was his commitment to civility and a constitutional democracy.

Cathy, I know the decisions you're asked to make in Congress might be difficult ones, but if you do what you believe in your heart is right for the people back at home, then I know goodness will triumph.

At great risk to himself and a 30-year career, he stood up for the U.S. Constitution and he was vindicated by the Supreme Court that he was right.
