I encourage you to oppose the inclusion of policy riders related to activities by the agencies under your jurisdiction in the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations bill.

Puget Sound recovery and restoration is critical to my State, to the Pacific Northwest region, and to the country as a whole.

I was really pleased to work with Senator Heller to introduce the Women Veterans Access to Quality Care Act

I am going to be introducing that again this year, and I want to be sure we are all working together.

I think this is absolutely critical for our men and women who serve overseas and lose their capability.

Making sure the VA has the tools and resources it needs to provide care and support our veterans is critical.

Taking care of our veterans when they come home is a fundamental part of who we are as a Nation.

I think it is a high priority for our veterans, and I want to work with you to get that done.

This is a critical need in that community.

To me that is just unacceptable.

One of the key provisions of that bill is requiring obstetrics and gynecology to be available at every medical center.

A budget is a statement of our values and priorities.

I really want to thank you, Senator Burr and Senator Casey, for spearheading this conversation.

How can the Federal Government make sure that the students who need the most help are actually getting it?

We would have to set that at the Federal level.

I really hope that we can hear from you, as well as other commission members actually, on what you're doing to protect students from rape and sexual assault.

Students, I think we all believe, should be able to earn their degree without fear of violence.

Higher education and job training is really critical to making sure we have the economic strength of our middle class.

I'll be working to reduce the crushing burden of student debt that limits so many families across the country today.

We shouldn't move in the wrong direction by unraveling these core protections that provide our students with a safe learning environment.

I continue to believe it is a crucial part of building an economy that works for all families, not just the wealthiest few.

I'll be looking for ways to make college more affordable.

We've got to make sure, however, that our families get accurate consumer information. College has to be more affordable.
