I think we need to keep batting down some of the misconceptions about wood as a building material here.
Why is the United States ceding to the U.K.? Nothing against the brilliant work done by the U.K. researchers and architects there, but they hardly have the land mass or supply that we do.

I believe that you have an unbelievable amount of experience in your past positions.
I was pleased that in March, the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union agreed to a 4-month suspension of all tariffs that were authorized by the WTO in the Boeing/Airbus dispute.
If we did, and took into consideration their true impact, we would generate billions in royalties.
I do not think they are sufficient, clearly, on the land side, and should be, to holding people accountable.
I think we need to face the fact that our public lands have an impact on all of this.
Taxpayers deserve to look at our federal lands and the leasing of those federal lands and get a federal return.
I think there is a really big philosophical question that we have to address here.
I think of our public lands, obviously, as a way to sequester some amount of domestic carbon emissions.
I think this particular area we are discussing today about clean energy markets and more R&D into carbon sequestration and utilization is certainly worth more investment.
I certainly appreciate that there are many hearings across the spectrum today talking about R&D investments.
We need to make that successful. Obviously, we do not want the Restaurant Revitalization Grant to be kludgy like that.
So we need to figure out how to fix this. So I hope that you will commit to fixing this.
It is not the need. It is that they are being treated inequitably under the law just because of a previous right that they already have.
I want to make sure that the United States learns from the pandemic, that we follow best practices.
Last year, startups raised 13 percent more from venture capitalists than they did the previous year, so that total was $150 billion.
