I want to ask you to consider several priorities for the New Democrat Coalition.

This bipartisan bill would invest in hazardous fuels management by increasing the pace and scale of prescribed burns.

This bipartisan bill establishes a National Biochar Research Network to test the impact of biochar across various soil types.

This bipartisan bill would allow the Secretary of Agriculture to waive the Specialty Crops Research Initiative matching funds requirement.

This bipartisan bill would codify and authorize the RNGR program with its own budget line item and funding.

Finally, I would like to thank Congressman Strickland for being an original co-sponsor of this legislation.

It is up to us--all of us in this room today--to ensure that student veterans receive the assistance they need so that no one gets left behind.

Our veterans have rightfully earned their GI Bill benefits and they should rightfully be restored when bad actors have targeted our vets to make a profit off of them.

This means that over 3 1/2 million veterans exposed to toxic substances during their service will get the healthcare that they deserve.

I firmly believe that if you devoted your life to serving our country, then it is our responsibility to make sure you receive the best service and care possible.

I think that you are absolutely right. We have heard from many of our small, rural hospitals that are so grateful for this program, because out of everywhere, I think, the 340B savings in rural communities has really provided a lifeline…

When there is consolidation, there is no competition, prices go up, and care potentially can go down.

Let's work together on physician reimbursement. I know the community, and all of us at some point will really appreciate that.

We need a bigger pipeline and a faster pipeline for new providers, and we also need ways to incentivize those providers to practice in rural communities.

I just want to thank Representatives DeGette, Bilirakis, Ruiz, and Cole for their work to reauthorize the Special Diabetes Program.

Thank you for your consideration of these priorities as you develop legislation for our aviation industry and critical water infrastructure this year and continue oversight efforts of Bipartisan Infrastructure Law implementation.

I am eager to partner with this committee to find ways to consolidate, standardize, and streamline grant application efforts.

Small and mid-sized communities face several barriers when applying for funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

I also plan to reintroduce the Care is an Economic Development Strategy--or CEDS--Act this Congress.

I plan to reintroduce this legislation soon.

We also depend on critical water infrastructure, especially with increasing risk of drought, to allow our agricultural communities to flourish.
