We would love to have you join our conversation, to come meet with our group, and give us some direction on how we can recognize, celebrate, amplify the contributions of our farmers who engage in climate friendly practices.
We want to build on increasing engagement of American farmers on climate change issues in a lead up to the reauthorization of the farm bill.
So, this program is particularly well-suited for small- and medium-sized farms, as well as first-time, low-income minority farmers because you don't have to enter a carbon market to be compensated for doing the right practices.
Last, I have very little time, but I just wanted to touch on a piece of legislation I am working on to modernize the Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education, or the SARE Program.
