I have an amendment at the desk. The CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: At the end of the bill, add the following new section: SEC. 4. TREATMENT OF HYDROPOWER AS RENEWABLE ENERGY. In issuing, implementing, and enforcing any final rule described in section 2(b), the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency shall treat hydropower as renewable energy. The CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 333, the gentleman from Washington (Mr. Newhouse) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentleman from Washington.
