It's a nightmare situation.

Washington state is literally the most generous state in the entire country for providing financial assistance,

with Initiative 645, voters will have a decision between upholding the tax and “moving our state forward by making life more affordable for Washingtonians,” or rejecting it and “going backwards.”

I deeply appreciate the President taking time to have this conversation, and I am optimistic we will receive a quick approval for our request for a federal emergency declaration.
