I do worry about the inevitability comments because these words get played up in China.

I think China could do it right now. They have the capability.

We need to use diplomacy and alliances to meet this threat.

Success for the U.S., Ukraine, and the coalition in Ukraine is crucial to that deterrence message against China.

We must, without question, meet that threat, and part of meeting that threat is also, without question, to deter it militarily.

China is the greatest threat that we face to our national security objectives and the biggest problem that we face as a country.

When Mr. Rogers was the ranking member and I was the chairman, we worked incredibly well together.

Sylvia Garcia was particularly focused on the incidents surrounding the death of Vanessa Guillen and was incredibly important in getting the--passing the reforms to how we handle sexual assault in the military.

They really took a hard look at everything that the Army is spending money on and said, 'Does this make sense?' and 'What is the future of the fight?'

The two most important things to me are the Army personnel and modernization.

Our goal and objective here is number one, to maintain a sovereign democratic Ukraine. Number two, to make Russia weaker for having made this choice to not make them think that this type of choice is a positive.
