David Roe

David P. Roe is a former Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives, serving Vermont's 1st congressional district from January 4, 2005, to January 3, 2021. During his time in Congress, Roe was known for his focus on healthcare issues, particularly in relation to veterans and the military. He served on several committees, including the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs, where he advocated for improved services for veterans and their families.
What has happened is... we have increased the cost of them providing the insurance coverage, taken away some of their flexibility, and not another person has been covered.
The last thing I want to say is that what the government decided was what you buy...
I gave up a medical practice to run for the U.S. Congress because I care deeply about this country.
I have great respect for him because he married a lovely young woman from my district, Greenville, Tennessee.
I want to thank my colleague, Representative Luke Messer, for helping lead this important effort.
We feel like that as a public entity, we have said to the taxpayer we are taxing you through your sales tax, your income tax, your property tax for money for education.
I think community colleges are absolutely critical in allowing an educational opportunity to people who can't.
I don't want to take the money that hard-working people including veterans go out and pay taxes and not spend it wisely.
