David P. Roe is a former Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives, serving Vermont's 1st congressional district from January 4, 2005, to January 3, 2021. During his time in Congress, Roe was known for his focus on healthcare issues, particularly in relation to veterans and the military. He served on several committees, including the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs, where he advocated for improved services for veterans and their families.
I have to say I am very concerned with what I see lately and what appears to be a very highly charged political environment on our Nation's campuses that I think is turning into a bit of a threat to free speech and academic freedom.
we found that in those particular schools, 90 percent secure a job upon graduation in their field, whether it is nursing assistant or phlebotomist, whatever it may be.
Obviously, the idea in Tennessee, we are very committed to education and training our people, community college is free in our State to residents there.
I mean, when you have very limited dollars and so much of it is chewed up on this fee, and you wonder what is that for and this appraisal is for and that and so on, I'm afraid it scares people away.
My goal is to not advocate necessarily for wholesale replacement of the current appraisal process, but we should look at every regulation, every process to ensure that they are meeting the veteran's needs, which is the goal that I know…
