While providing hundreds of billions of dollars in tax breaks for the wealthiest people in our country--the wealthiest three-tenths of 1 percent--over the next decade, the President, at the same time, has proposed major cuts in health care, in low-income heating assistance, in weatherization, in nutrition, in housing programs, and in other basic needs of low- and moderate-income Americans. That is a set of values which I think reflect badly on the White House and does not reflect the values of the American people. In my view, this is a Robin Hood-in-reverse budget.”
