I simply reiterate my hope that Senator Vitter would sit down with me, his staff would sit down with my staff, and we can work out our differences. I have always been willing to compromise and make changes in the legislation. But for the veterans of this country who have suffered so much and who have been hurt so much, we owe them so much, and we have to do right by them.
