On the recordJuly 27, 2017
I ask unanimous consent that a motion to commit be printed in the Record to instruct the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions to report back with changes that ensure the bill includes a provision establishing a robust public health insurance option that is affordable and high quality, that provides comprehensive benefits, and that may be offered on the Federal and State exchanges. There being no objection, the material was ordered to be printed in the Record, as follows: Motion to Commit With Instructions Mr. Sanders moves to commit the bill H.R. 1628 to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions with instructions to report the same back to the Senate in 3 days, not counting any day on which the Senate is not in session, with changes that-- (1) are within the jurisdiction of such committee; and (2) ensure that the bill includes a provision establishing a robust public health insurance option that is affordable and high-quality, that provides comprehensive benefits, and that may be offered on the Federal and State Exchanges.
