I thank you for the opportunity to testify before you on behalf of the Academy of General Dentistry.

We need to understand that a major cause of absenteeism, interestingly enough, from school, is a result of toothache and dental pain.

the tens of millions of Americans who are either unable to afford or unable to access the kind of dental care that they need.

For decades, public school teachers have been overworked, underpaid, understaffed, and maybe most importantly, underappreciated.
