I think that the island of St. John, where we are actually about to rebuild our school, would be a great place for you to try another pilot out for these young people.
My great concern is that this commit does what it needs to do to hold the Federal Government accountable.
I think it is really important for us to do these assessments now as we are coming up to the hurricane season.
Are we prepared for a hurricane in the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, or one or two?
In October, bipartisan members of this committee sent a letter to DHS and have been requesting from FEMA response for that letter related to these hurricanes.

The insular areas have long had underfunding and under inclusion across a litany of programs.
Until then, public schooling for the children of the Virgin Islands is operating on 4-hour rotations.
Progress has been made, but despite best collective efforts, the territory has not physically been able to finish all of these projects by March 15 deadline.

We can all agree that environmental protection should go hand-in-hand with economic development.
I think there needs to be a serious look from our level as to whether or not we need to continue having regional offices that are in Puerto Rico for the Virgin Islands.

So I guess the reason I'm asking this question is I'm concerned about those homes that still appear to be extremely damaged.
So if you are putting temporary housing and you are putting a temporary blue roof on a home at 25,000, then you are saying to permanently fix the roof at 25,000 does that seem like a reasonable amount for a roof?
