I was especially inspired to hear how staff was so quick thinking on January 6.

I never, ever want to lose that. And so January 6 felt like a huge violation.

I just want assurances that is something that is a priority and something you all will actually explore. Will you provide those assurances?

Now, it has come to my attention that you all don't have the ability to do video conferences for your sessions, for your clinicians. Is that true?

The last shutdown that we had lasted for 35 days. It was only a partial shutdown but it still cost the economy billions of dollars.

Are you aware that under the previous Administration, there were between five and seven full-time staff in addition to the Director?

So do I, because this recommendation, to me, sounds like a bunch of gobbledy-gook.

It would also be good for them to feel comfortable that their complaints will make it up the chain of command and be acted upon, and they will find out what the results of the investigation.

Our veterans have sacrificed so much for our country and they deserve the highest quality of care, and at a minimum they should feel safe in our VA facilities.

That is a couple generations of young people who could be living with elevated levels of lead in their blood and have the collateral consequences of that.

Not only that, they would allow more time for water sanitation authorities to replace lead pipes even when that trigger level is reached.

It's not a matter of if, it's when other municipalities are going to be going through the same thing.

I often remind people that the satellites and the weather models were paid for with their taxes.

Now obviously, it's not working out that way. We have evidence that 99 percent of those people who applied for forgiveness were rejected over what most of us would view as technicalities and things that should not be.

One area that continues to be harmed by disregard for science in the current Administration is reproductive health.

It concerns me that the Administration that is so bent on diluting science's role in regulatory decisions is now responsible for creating these important standards.
