I would hope that the legal department would see as a part of their duty at the very least is to make sure that what they are doing is lawful...

if I might take another minute. I know I am over time, but if I could take a minute just to pontificate.
This is a way that they not only get their opinions heard by some congressmen, but also all of this goes into the official record.
I serve on the Energy and Commerce Committee, so most of my time has been spent defending the rights of citizens to have affordable energy--aka coal--and use that.
I would strongly encourage that the Department of Energy take a very serious look at that and see what we can do to fast track that project to see if it works.
I believe it is going to make a majority of Americans losers in the health care arena.
So if the Canadians, the Bostonians, and the Swiss who worked this up to help in other countries decided that it might be helpful in rural parts of the United States, they would have to come to you first, and instead of costing $8, it would cost what? Hundreds of thousands?
In regard to the questions, the list of examples that Mr. Waxman listed out, while the FDA does not currently have any plans, do you believe that the FDA could if it so chose to do so regulate those examples down the road if it had a change of heart?
