I have said this from coming onto this committee, that Utah does it right. We collaborate. We are innovative.

The State legislature continues to make historic investments into transit, this year alone putting $400 million into our FrontRunner double-tracking effort.

Utah's Transit Authority does not run a budget deficit. Ridership is up 92 percent of pre-pandemic levels.

My home State of Utah has a remarkable story to share with other States and, more importantly, the Federal Government.

Thank you, Chair and Ranking Member and our witnesses here today, for taking time to hold today's hearing to highlight the delusion of the Biden administration's at-any-cost approach on electrification of our grid.

Nothing has been more apparent with this tactic than the $18 billion taxpayer funding of a mandated industry that America's private citizens and business owners do not want to be forced down their throats.

For almost 60 years, Americans have been driven by fear perpetuated by our climate theorists, authors, climate absolutes, and climate change activists, all who consider themselves experts.

Our answer to this, not a dollar more until we figure this out.

In no world should a scholarship athlete be considered an employee for playing basketball.

The Biden NLRB is the most activism, pro-union, government agency in history.

At its core college sports is about enhancing the student-athletes' academic experience, and molding our young people into productive citizens.

This is the most divisive concept that we have ever seen, and it is truly a cancer.

Equity says no, you come with the right color, you come with the right ideology, and you got the job.

They are really good at understanding how to control the language.

Let us start teaching our kids earlier how to read, write and add. That might be a good start.

Again, DEI offices, they do create and perpetuate high paying job opportunities with little in the way of meaningful performance measurements...

We believe in fairness. And just recently we have a couple of my good friends, Kate Hall and Keith Grover, who will introduce legislation to ban DEI from our educational systems.

Instead of becoming a more perfect union that turns our schools to cities and to cesspools of the abyss of hate and intolerance.

Would you agree with--I will get to what the question is, what is the priority of education? The child or the institution?

If the public schools are failing, let us get rid of them. If charter schools are failing, let us get rid of them.

It has really been very rewarding to hear how as a bipartisan process we are going to address this.

Is there anything to be done to understand that there is a new way of trying to service customers?
