“This is a motion to request a conference on S. 2943, the National Defense Authorization Act. This is a procedural motion, which will allow the House and the Senate to conference our differences. The House passed its bill on May 18, by a vote of 277-147. The Senate subsequently passed its bill. I hope that the House will support this motion and allow us to proceed to conference.
