The text of the amendment is as follows: Page 156, insert after line 20 (and conform the table of contents accordingly): SEC. 1103. RESEARCH AND REPORT ON WOMEN IN FEDERAL INCARCERATION. Not later than 18 months after the date of enactment of this Act, and thereafter, every other year, the National Institutes of Justice, in consultation with the Bureau of Justice Statistics and the Bureau of Prisons (including the Women and Special Population Branch) shall prepare a report on the status of women in federal incarceration. Depending on the topic to be addressed, and the facility, data shall be collected from Bureau of Prisons personnel and a sample that is representative of the population of incarcerated women.…”
