Well, certainly limiting access to counsel strikes me as an un-American concept. I mean it is just not right.

Congress should not attempt to pass laws that are unconstitutional on their face.

However, instead of looking to do what we can, this committee is using this hearing as a tool to message and bash the administration.

These are the harsh realities of a crisis on the border that we should be addressing, but instead we are spending the committee's time--we are looking at something we don't control.

I am one to stand to defend it against people that might want to take that away from people.

So there is a flaw in the law, which then human smugglers are exploiting for the purpose of human trafficking. Is that a fair statement?

If you are not charging the actuarially sound premium, it will be actuarially unsound.

One thing I do understand is if you charge an actuarially unsound premium for an insurance product, eventually its actuarial unsoundness will come to roost.

I was very happy that this legislative session the Governor of Texas and the Speaker/Lieutenant Governor made it an emergency item and said, 'This is something really important; we are going pay teachers more.'

What is frustrating to me is that teacher pay is basically flat.
