What I also say to -- enough with the finger-pointing. I don't care how we got here. How do we get out of here?

It's a very sad situation all the way around.

So, this is how the legislative process works, is, Congress determines the laws. Right now, we have a Congress that won’t talk to one another.

The more transparent the Army can be on the forefront, if something were to happen, whether it is Ukrainian refugees or whether it is migrants, whatever it is--I hear from my constituents, and they are just looking for transparency.

Three people in a week is a glaring issue.

My priority--my priorities for the Army MILCON construction projects for fiscal year 2023 include a request for $15 million to construct a new fire station at Fort Bliss.

You know, my wife is a servicemember, and I will tell you. I mean, there is not a servicemember that doesn't have a story of some sort or another, so it is absolutely a critical area.

I don't want to see that project slide in any form or fashion.

We can't just continue to run the same plays and expect different results to happen.

I think you can give me some straight answers.

Fort Bliss is a great facility, and it is a warm and welcoming community, and people want to help.

Completely unacceptable. This is not--this particular project is not included in Army's FYDP or its UFR list.

If you lose one sailor or marine or airman or soldier or guardian, I mean, that should be a wakeup call to any leadership.

When can we expect the Army to implement all 70 recommendations?

It is not a Black city, a White city. It is a Brown city.

I think it is ludicrous that you are saying comprehensive and deliberate strategies since January of 2021, and yet here we are, with a worsening and compounding crisis at our southern border.
