Sylvia Rodriguez Garcia: “This unchecked practice is a threat to our democracy.”

I come before you today, to request that the Committee take up an item with clear bipartisan support across the Houston region.

Due to illness, I was unable to vote during the vote series today. Had I been able to vote, I would have voted: NAY on Roll Call No. 7, H.R. 23--Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act.

These funds represent the fruits of the hard work and dedication of my constituents, who often are either unbanked or underbanked.

Families and hardworking Americans in my district are dealing with insurance company withdrawals, insurance cancellations, and premium spikes in Texas.
