And I believe also that Congress has the privilege to be notified if someone is detained and has the ability to both intervene or interact with the executive, the President, on the particularly unique circumstances of a U.S. citizen being detained as a person that may be involved in terrorist acts. I thank the gentleman and would argue the point that this is a difficult call but that this bill has value because it improves the law on the question of detention and compliance with the Constitution. It also improves the lives of our soldiers and families. I support the legislation.
