It is a dignity that is allowed to those who are on the front lines of the Nation's security. What is a uniform? It is a consistent statement that you are authorized to do your duty. And I would simply say in the mistakes that occur in any body, whatever body it might be, local law enforcement, the United States military, do we strip them of their gear because of incidental or arbitrary incidents that individuals perpetrate?…”
