Mr. Chairman, I have an amendment at the desk. The CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: Page 531, after line 2, insert the following: SEC. 1099C. PROCLAMATION FOR NATIONAL DAY OF HONOR TO CELEBRATE MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES RETURNING FROM IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN, AND OTHER COMBAT AREAS. The President shall designate a day entitled a National Day of Honor to celebrate members of the Armed Forces who are returning from deployment in support of Iraq, Afghanistan, and other combat areas. The CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 276, the gentlewoman from Texas (Ms. Jackson Lee) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentlewoman from Texas.
