Let me thank my colleagues for allowing me to join you this evening in what I think is an enormously important tribute. As I present this distinguished gentleman, this hero, I just want to make mention of my friend Clarence Eugene Sasser, a Medal of Honor winner born September 12, 1947, who received his Medal of Honor for his actions in the Vietnam War. He's now passed, and I know that those who live recognize their fellow recipients for their heroism. But we are honoring tonight those who live.
