We have problems getting people to go to work.

The Lake Waco Embankment Stabilization Project has been the top priority for the City of Waco and McLennan County for 5 years.

I respectfully submit myself to you today, and to the gentleman, Mr. Rouzer, to ask for you to please include this in the authorization that would be necessary that would give relief to this.

The Corps of Engineers is very important to the State of Texas, as they are to other States, that they provide not only professional and engineering support, but really wise management.

Madam Chairman, I am seeking your assistance to authorize this project, which I will speak of, whose appropriations level--we are seeking the authorization for that--would be for $30 million to complete the Lake Waco embankment…

I never witnessed nor would have allowed this kind of intimidation.

You must go through a certification process by your local party to be able to be there.

It is important that we not continue speaking about things that are not truthful.

I would suggest to you that what is happening today in Texas is the rights of all Texans are being withheld.

It looks like today we are realizing that Black Lives Matter and Antifa are not the only sources of political violence in this country.

I find it very interesting that--and it is a longer debate.

We are against extremism, and we would be against the use of force.

I think all four of our witnesses presented information that was pertinent to the needs of this committee and I think overwhelmingly perhaps the viewpoint that we have got to work together if we are going to stop this.

There is a responsibility not just under the law but also under regulatory agencies to not only do their job but to ensure that the public good is represented.

There's no question that the building of pipelines to transport energy to America is a proper use of eminent domain.
