The fact is that partisan gridlock in Washington has inhibited our effectiveness and we are not protecting our Federal lands.

There will be serious economic consequences if the Federal Government's ability to efficiently designate national monuments is impaired.

As a new Member, I am finding it interesting, Congress uses power of the purse to cut your budget but doesn't seem to like the idea that that means a reduction in services.
