The Antiquities Act gives the President an important authority to protect our national treasures quickly and effectively.

The fact is that partisan gridlock in Washington has inhibited our effectiveness and we are not protecting our Federal lands.

As a new Member, I am finding it interesting, Congress uses power of the purse to cut your budget but doesn't seem to like the idea that that means a reduction in services.
