The problem Mr. Trump has though, is independents, right? They don't like this and they do think that these charges are very serious.
I just find it, frankly, depressing, that I'm living in a time, when the Republican Party, in a rout, prefers Donald Trump, to Liz Cheney, or even Mike Pence, for that matter.
What a different race it would be if Trump had chosen Nikki Haley, Chris Christie, Brian Kemp, Glenn Youngkin, even Mitt Romney, people who can get votes that Trump doesn't now have.
