It would not expand access. It would reduce access, and what is happening in Texas is no different.

We need Congress to act and we need them to act now. We are here in person because that`s how important it is to protect everyone`s freedom to vote. And we will keep fighting with everything we have.

My community is majority-minority, and they expect me to stand up for their representation.

When our Democratic counterpart, my Democratic colleagues, would put up amendments that would reduce the harmful impact of some of these measures, our amendments were either stripped out, watered down, or flat-out denied.
