I encourage all my colleagues to push back against the crackdown of religious and ethnic minorities like the Tibetan people and vote in favor of this bill.

But I know one group that really hates this bill and that is the Chinese Communist Party.
We must not allow authoritarianism to extinguish the flame of that hope and that democracy in Ukraine or anywhere else.
What message does that send to our enemies? It only emboldens and empowers our enemies.
It is a misconception that U.S. investors solely are fueling China's economic growth.
This bill pushes for a conversation and resolution to the decades-long illegal occupation of Tibet by the Chinese Communist Party.
I find it troubling that the United States does not currently restrict American investment dollars into sectors that support these activities.
