Even if we are able to topple the Assad regime, which will be increasingly difficult with the overt support of Assad by Russia and the covert support by Iran, what next?
We need to make that bombing campaign more effective by allowing our joint tactical air controllers onto the battlefield...
We need to assure them that if they get rid of ISIS, they are not going to simply replace the tyranny of ISIS with the tyranny of Iran.
