What is happening in Cuba is all the proof we need that communism and socialism are bankrupted ideologies that can only lead to utter failure and human misery.

Cubans deserve liberty and all that it entails, and we must do everything in our power to fight with them for their freedom.

Holding the communist regime accountable for its repressive policies while supporting the people's quest for freedom and democracy is crucial.

The Cuban people have never experienced the kind of self-government and freedom that many Americans take for granted.

We should also expand our support for those protesting or Cuban civil rights society, more broadly.
