John Adams, our first Vice President, such a prominent fixture within the Continental Congress, Declaration of Independence, so important to our founding, such a strong antislavery personality--and he was very, very learned, constantly reading--said: I have examined all the religions, and the result is that the Bible is the best book in the world. It is the only correct map of the human heart that has ever been published.'' And I love what C.S. Lewis said in his book ``The Case for Christianity.'' He was discussing dualism, this idea that there are two equal forces in the universe and that they are at war, and we don't know how it is going to come out. He said there is a war going on, but it is not between two equal forces. It is between a master and a rebel, and we happen to live in rebel-occupied territory. Basically, he goes on to say, can you imagine being behind enemy lines and getting a message from your home headquarters and you don't even pick it up and read it? Those of us who are Christians, we believe that God gave us this book of messages, just like C.S. Lewis said. Unfortunately, many don't pick them up.…
