Let's cut to the chase. This is a tax credit for people who want to contribute to the President's campaign fund. They're told you can check this box and it doesn't cost you anything. No, but it takes $40 million-plus a year away from the fund that could be used for other things, including for Social Security, and it gives it to the President's campaign fund. I stand with our President, Barack Obama, on this issue, who found that that fund is worthless and that it's an impediment to getting elected. So I stand with President Obama in saying let's get rid of the fund and not use it anymore, and let the $200 million in that fund go to something helpful instead of being an impediment to being elected President.
