I have no rational explanation for the President's threatened veto. It is simply astounding to me that a President of the United States would want to veto a bill that tries to protect the security of Americans.

According to a recent report by the Energy Reliability Council of Texas, energy costs for customers in Texas may increase by up to 16 percent per year due to the Clean Power Plan alone.

The President's plan gives control of U.S. energy policy oftentimes to unelected United Nations officials.

The so-called Clean Power Plan will cost billions of dollars, cause financial hardship for American families, and diminish the competitiveness of American industry around the world, all with no significant benefit to climate change.
