I ask unanimous consent at 3 o'clock today the Senate proceed to executive session and to consecutive votes on the following nominations: No. 386, John Smoak, to be United States District Judge for the Northern District of Florida; and No. 384, Susan Neilson, to be United States Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit. I further ask unanimous consent there be 2 minutes of debate equally divided prior to each vote; further, that following those votes the President be immediately notified of the Senate's action and the Senate then return to legislative session.
