The stakes are too high to forego adequate process for the citizens of our State and, frankly, we deserve better from the Federal Government and the EPA.

I agree with the panel that we all want clean air and clean water. We also need to consider... the impact on consumers who are already suffering from high gasoline prices, high food prices, and, many places, high unemployment.
I am concerned about the timing, cost, and manner of several of EPA's new rules.
We really need to be looking at ways to produce cleaner, cheaper energy, not driving up costs.
I could only imagine if the Golden Rule were applied by the Senate and Congress in Washington on a daily basis, I can't help but think this would be a better place to work and we would do a better job representing our constituents.
If EPA believes that Texas should be included in CATR's annual program, it should demonstrate that inclusion is necessary, that it is justified, and that it is beneficial through a transparent process.
Well, that is not particularly reassuring given the track history of Senator Reid bringing the bill to the floor and not allowing any amendments.
I have been disappointed by the President's failure to lead on immigration reform.
The Senate Majority Leader has refused to place immigration reform on the Senate agenda since 2007.
