my late father was a plant geneticist. He spent his entire career developing cotton plants and cotton seeds that could be used as food. I wish we would have had this research enabled when he was alive so he could have participated through grants at Texas A&M or the University of Texas to forward this very worthwhile research endeavor. Mr. Speaker, I very strongly support the gentlewoman from Texas and the gentleman from Michigan in their noble endeavor.
