My colleagues on the other side of the aisle have claimed that we need to secure the border. Even when President Biden made the comment that he would be willing to shut down the border because it is overwhelmed, the Republican Speaker says that proposal-- which would allow for what Republicans have been asking for, supposedly for years--is dead on arrival. The Republicans are not going to do it. Mr. Speaker, this is a show trial. It is a sham.
