Since the creation of the Bureau, community banks have been forced to comply with rigid, arbitrary, and prescriptive rules intended to target the abuses of nonbanks and larger banks.

Do you agree that Congress has a right to know whether aircraft finance for Iran may benefit persons that engage in sanctionable activities, including support for terrorism, weapons proliferation, and human rights abuses?

Given the overwhelmingly increased aggression under the Kim regime, this legislation cannot be timelier.

I believe that the legislative proposals before us today largely represent steps in the right direction toward combating the abuse of our financial system by bad actors.
