I look forward to working with Roger in his new role representing Mississippi in the United States Senate.

Making sure that we keep taxes low is essential.

My resolution for the New Year is this: to work with Congress to keep our economy growing, to keep your tax burden low, and to ensure that the money you send to Washington is spent wisely or not at all.

You work hard for your money and to live within your means.

Unemployment is a low 4.7 percent.

I'm disappointed that leaders in Congress sent me a massive spending bill that includes about 9,800 earmarks.

These people include the entrepreneurs who live their dreams by starting up new businesses.

Our economy added jobs for the 51st straight month, making this the longest period of uninterrupted job growth on record.

The new democratic government of Iraq, during this crucial period of reconstruction, cannot afford to have its funds entangled in such lawsuits in the United States.

The potential liability created by Section 1083 cannot be overstated.

The NDAA includes authorization for a 0.5 percent additional pay raise for our Nation's troops.

Particular provisions included in the bill risk imposing financially devastating hardship on Iraq.

If enacted, Section 1083 would permit plaintiffs' lawyers immediately to freeze Iraqi funds.

The provision would tie up Iraqi assets in litigation, and would have a potentially devastating impact on the Government of Iraq.

Section 1083 cannot become law even for a short period of time.

We stand with the people of Pakistan in their struggle against the forces of terror and extremism.

In order to reflect in the HTS the modifications to the rules of origin under the USCFTA, general note 26 to the HTS is modified as provided in Annex I to this proclamation.

In order to reflect in the HTS the modifications to the rules of origin under the USSFTA, general note 25 to the HTS is modified as provided in Annex II to this proclamation.

Continuation of U.S.-flag commercial air service is necessary in the interest of air commerce, national security, and the foreign policy of the United States.
