They're going to raise the taxes and increase the size of the federal government, which would be bad for the United States economy.

Now is not the time to raise taxes on the American people. This economy is getting better.

The commission I have appointed today will examine intelligence on weapons of mass destruction and related 21st century threats, and issue specific recommendations to ensure our capabilities are strong.

As the chief weapons inspector said, we have not yet found the stockpile of weapons that we thought were there. Knowing what I knew then and knowing what I know today, America did the right thing in Iraq.

So I'm putting together an independent bipartisan commission to analyze where we stand, what we can do better as we fight this war against terror.

Congress is now going to have to work with us to make sure that we set priorities and our fiscally wise with the taxpayers' money. I'm confident they can do that if they're willing to make tough choices.

I've got great confidence in our intelligence community. They are unbelievably hardworking, dedicated people who are doing a great job for America.

Saddam Hussein was a gathering threat.

We know from years of intelligence, not only our own intelligence services, but other intelligence gathering organizations, that he had weapons. After all, he used them.

The world is a better place without Saddam Hussein.

I was bored as hell.

There is no doubt in my mind the world is a better place without Saddam Hussein. America is more secure, the world is safer, and the people of Iraq are free.

This is not a press conference. This is my chance to help this lady put money in her pocket.

The White House officially says they are not quite in political campaign mode, not just yet.

They make a lot of money and won't spend much. I'm sorry. I'm not saying they're overpaid. They're just not spending money.
