I do believe that here in the Americas we can and will unite to confront and defeat the new slayers of the democratic dream.

Come on, we've got to get to work here.

The Costa Rican model is an example and an inspiration in Central America, to this entire hemisphere, to the world.

And so, we journey today to advance this new world of freedom and to salute the traditions of a nation and a people that, in many ways, represents the model for our entire hemisphere.

Because look at the whole world.

The news is irrepressible and inspiring for those with democratic dreams of their own.

I determine that the Republic of Hungary is not in violation of paragraph (1), (2), or (3) of Subsection 402(a) of the Act.

There is no basis for such a limit.

Work-study benefits should not be provided to nonveterans who can avail themselves of other government-wide educational assistance opportunities.

The President's senior advisers would likewise recommend the veto of a substitute for H.R. 1231 providing for establishment of a congressional advisory commission.

The President's plan is designed to eliminate unacceptable risks to the public health and to provide for more orderly regulation of pesticides and their use.

The plan will simplify and make more workable the regulation of pesticide use in agriculture, thereby assisting farmers in knowing and following food safety laws.

The President's senior advisers would recommend veto of H.R. 2710 if it were presented to him in its current form.

We are active supporters of reform.

This action signals the recognition that a quiet revolution is taking place in thousands of shops, farms, and factories.

We admire you, we support you, and we welcome you as friends of freedom.

It is inappropriate, in light of the history of the present dispute and the Eastern Airlines bankruptcy court proceeding, to require the President to establish a Presidential Emergency Board, as would be mandated by H.R. 1231.

I include as part of these documents my Determination that the Republic of Hungary is not in violation of paragraph (1), (2), or (3) of Subsection 402(a) or paragraph (1), (2), or (3) of Subsection 409(a) of the Act.

The program is tailored to meet the needs of full-time students.

It is true that international exchanges are not a great tide to sweep away all differences, but they will slowly wear away at the obstacles to peace as surely as water wears away a hard stone.
