George H.W. Bush was the 41st President of the United States, serving from January 20, 1989, to January 20, 1993. A member of the Republican Party, he previously held the office of Vice President under Ronald Reagan from 1981 to 1989. Bush was a World War II veteran and served in various roles within the U.S. government, including as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency from 1976 to 1977. His presidency is noted for significant events such as the Gulf War and the fall of the Berlin Wall, as well as his efforts in foreign policy and international diplomacy.
Democrats want a big increase in health care for low-income kids. The president wants a smaller increase.
Because of this success, General Petraeus believes we have now reached the point where we can maintain our security gains with fewer American forces.
Mr. Bush says he considered the bill a step towards federalizing medicine.
We will set a long-term goal to reducing global greenhouse gas emissions. By setting this goal, we acknowledge there is a problem. And by setting this goal, we commit ourselves to doing something about it.
I thought the ad was disgusting. And I felt like the ad was an attack not only on General Petraeus but on the U.S. military.
I found it interesting that on the tape, Iraq was mentioned, which is a reminder that Iraq is a part of this war against extremists.
I will resist all temptation to become the pundit in chief. And commenting upon every twist and turn of the presidential campaign.
The Hill will probably get the Democratic nomination, and Republicans are in for a tough fight to beat her.
