It is not just a holiday for white lights and garland and making merry. It is a holiday that serves as the center of who we are as a people. As the Speaker knows, sitting there in the Speaker's chair under 'In God We Trust,' it is that collective faith that we have in the Lord Almighty and our collective belief in his Son that has served as the core of the strength of this country from its founding. I will talk about two things today that are related to that. One is a policy issue. That issue is the ability of the American people to get healthcare and care for one another. The other is defending our Judeo-Christian heritage in Western civilization from the onslaught of those who wish to push the Islamification of our country into the forefront.
