I want to echo what Mr. Smith said a few minutes ago about meeting in person, and it seems to me like we in Congress should consider ourselves essential workers.

The goal of this hearing is to determine how we can build a hundred percent clean economy with opportunities for a low-carbon recovery.

The point that I want to make is that finding a lasting solution to any of our economic, environmental, and energy solutions requires us to use nothing less than all of the tools in our toolbox.

We as policymakers should also heed your comments regarding the fallacy of expanding pollution sources in China in order to meet our environmental objectives.
