I appreciate the comments of the gentleman from Virginia and also of the gentleman from Colorado. There is nothing in my amendment that says that coercion is okay, that religious proselytization is okay. What we are doing is just protecting the religious freedoms of the First Amendment. Mr. Chairman, I would urge all of my colleagues to vote for a commonsense, simple amendment that protects our religious freedoms under the First Amendment. It is very simple. I reserve the balance of my time.
